Much of what the media appreciate about him, but even more of what audiences love about him, can be found in his songs. Prahl sings Prahl - authentic, down-to-earth, earthy, with wit and a passion for making music.
For many, his debut album "Blick aufs Mehr" was a surprise, for quite a few it was their new favorite album. His highly anticipated second studio album "MEHR" was released in November 2018. And of course there are concerts to go with it - finally again. Now the first 7-inch release "Timpete" announces something new and will be presented live for the first time on his summer tour.
Axel Prahl is not a singing actor, but a wonderful musician and singer who is taking to the German (music) stage with songs that have sprung from his own pen and his own experiences.
His by no means incidentally celebrated band is a small, hand-picked troupe of nine musicians who are well-known names in the German rock, jazz and classical music scene. First and foremost Danny Dziuk, whose songs and lyrics have made Annett Louisan and Stoppok famous.
The musician Prahl rants and riots, purrs and sighs, is biting to blue-eyed good, touches and seduces. Above all, however, Axel Prahl is completely himself as a musician, i.e. "in the role of his life", as "ZDF-Aspekte" noted with some relish.
