At Backstage on Stage, three bands whose members are usually behind the scenes will show you what they can bring to the stage (and that's a lot!). Indie from Café Şamata, rock from ASTER and sweet sounds from Treffpunkt Jane. There's no reason not to be there - off you go! ❤️🔥

On Saturday, July 12 at 8 p.m., the GLORIA Cologne will open the stage for the talents behind the scenes! At "Backstage on Stage", GLORIA employees show what they're made of musically - with their own bands and a lot of passion. Whether rock, pop or indie - the evening promises real live music, an informal atmosphere and surprises far removed from everyday life.
Free admission - come along and experience the GLORIA in a completely different way!
Meeting point Jane
This example of musical success leaves little to be desired. Delivers in new dimensions! Cheekiness, playfulness and competence on the hand-operated keyboard will melt your ears. The percussive can construction makes sad hearts beat in three-four time. The inaudible bassline makes even the tolerant neighbors bob their heads. The cherry is rounded off by the irresistible creative band.
Café Şamata
The indie band from Ehrenfeld has not only had a new name since the beginning of 2025, but also a fresh line-up. Valle (guitar & vocals), Malte (guitar), Maxi (bass), Stefan (piano) and Matze (drums) deliver songs ranging from soulful ballads to danceable rhythms. Thematically, their lyrics deal with the challenges of young people - love, friendship, pub culture and the small vanities of life.
ASTER
Aster is a rock band from Cologne that was founded in 2025. Musically, the band is oriented towards alternative rock and Brit pop of the 1990s as well as classic British rock bands of the 1960s and 1970s.
Aster's most important influences include Oasis, Blur and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, as well as formative artists from earlier rock history such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Kinks. Aster's sound combines catchy melodies, guitar orientation and a mixture of energetic and atmospheric elements.
The band emphasizes an honest, handmade sound and combines musical nostalgia with a contemporary expression. Aster sees itself as a link between different rock generations and wants to develop these influences in its own musical language.
