BÄM! Rettet die Pelmke

In the organizer's words:

On May 1, 2025, Theater Hagen will be the stage for a very special evening: "BÄM! Save the Pelmke " - a multifaceted charity event together with Theater Hagen for the benefit of the Pelmke socio-cultural center. At a time when independent cultural venues are struggling to survive, artists from very different genres are making a joint statement: loud, poetic, dancing - and with a lot of heart.

The program is as colourful as the Pelmke itself:

It starts at 18:00 with the Hagen Philharmonic Orchestra, which will also accompany a silent film live immediately afterwards - a cinematic-musical experience of a special kind.

In the further course of the evening, the audience can expect, among other things:

• poetry slam art by Jan Philipp Zymny and Morgaine Prinz
• a performance by Hagen ESC hopeful and singer-songwriter Benjamin Braatz with his own songs and two songs specially arranged for the event with the Hagen Philharmonic Orchestra
• a contemporary performance by the Hagen Ballet.

As a further musical highlight, Niko, Sergio and Kasius from the Colombian band Doctor Krápula, supported by Olli from Le Fly, will play a powerful mix of cumbia, punk and political attitude. They also perform together with parts of the Hagen Philharmonic Orchestra.

The finale is collaborative: the audience can sing along with the Theater Hagen choir in a choraoke session and together they become one big choir - a musical finale that unites everyone before the curtain closes on the stage.

Before and after the program blocks as well as during the interval, there will be space for encounters and discussions - and of course the opportunity to support the Pelmke through donations or the purchase of limited art editions.

Tickets for this special evening, which combines culture and community, are available from €16.00 to €39.50, depending on your seat and budget. Discounts of 50% or more are available for certain groups of people. All proceeds go to the Pelmke to ensure its continued existence as a cultural center.
