Bang Boom Bang - Lichtburg Open Air am Dom

The jovial stoner Cake is in trouble: he has gambled away most of the loot from a robbery with the incarcerated felon Kalle. When Kalle suddenly turns up on his doorstep, good advice is expensive. Cake and a buddy get involved in a theft from the shady haulier Kampmann, which is where his problems really begin.

Peter Thorwart's feature film debut is a deliciously nasty crook ballad. This cheeky comedy is characterized not only by its detailed knowledge of the Ruhrpott milieu, but also by brilliant acting. Alongside young stars such as Oliver Korritke and Markus Knüfken (both from "Paarungsverhalten"), Ralf Richter and the now deceased Diether Krebs are particularly impressive. A gangster thriller that won the Young Talent Award at Filmfest München '99.
