Bartmes’ Submaroon Release Konzert

A collective, lively body of sound that moves and touches, transports you to strange universes and tells fantastic stories. Melodies between vintage and contemporary, sometimes as if from a nouvelle vague classic, an American space odyssey, an Italian spaghetti western or a dark agent thriller. Compositions full of surprises, freely and jointly improvised textures, casual and driving grooves.

Composer and keyboardist Jo Bartmes presents his new band project Submaroon together with Tobias Schmitt on electric bass, Nicholas Stampf on drums and guest vocalist Lilly Löffler. Bartmes will present further songs from the current CD production to the Heidelberg audience in the duo Companions with classical singer Colla Stepp. A highly varied evening is guaranteed.
