BASSTHERAPIE III ( ein besonders basslastiger Abend im Lokal Harmonie)

After the sound backdrop at the last Basstherapie took the form of a wonderful Dubcafé, the current edition of the event series will be organized by Kultur am Fließband. For this special evening, the group has been able to recruit Mylène Kroon from the Netherlands and the Essen-based Noise Dub Ensemble E.N.D.E. - an exciting contrast that will make for an unforgettable evening.

With her setup of analog semi-modular synthesizers and electro-acoustic elements, Mylène Kroon plays and sings her own compositions: Electronic Philosophic Music. After completing her studies, the trained opera singer initially devoted herself to jazz, after which she moved on to vocal-electronic music. She has mastered the ability to wrap profound lyrics in exciting harmonies and analog beats.

The Essen-based noise dub ensemble consists of four musicians who, thanks to their versatility, easily sound like 10. Usually electronically produced beats as acoustic live improvisations. Smoother Dub, handmade techno beats, Jungle, Dub Step. For five years now, Simon Camatta's tight DnB drums have been meeting Este Kirchhoff's distorted strings and crude samples, with Max Wehner's Freedom horn blowing above and Moritz "submarine" Anthes' infra bass wobbling underneath. A wide variety of styles are gathered around the dub for a sound that is both wild and chilled. To enjoy, to strip down and to dance. We'll step on the gas with you, get you down and get you up again until no one can. Boom.
