Beach Bunny sounds like the soundtrack to a Gen Z coming-of-age movie: in October, the new hope of indie rock is finally coming back to Germany for three dates!
Launched in 2015 as a solo project by songwriter Lili Trifilio, Beach Bunny's lyrics and pink and pastel indie rock sound first took Tiktok and soon after the world by storm. Not feeling pretty enough, not feeling enough, wanting to be someone else - these are all topics that have been running riot in teenage brains for some time. When Trifilio sings: "I don't trust my own opinions" - then you feel transported back to insecure times between favorite records and first crushes. Scott Pilgrim sends his regards!
After a Covid-related delay, the band started their live career in 2022 and played several tours in the USA, Latin America and Europe, including an appearance on Jimmy Fallon, before finally taking a well-deserved creative break at the end of 2023. Their third album, "Tunnel Vision", will be released in April 2025 - once again firing out of all the chewing gum vending machines, as high school romances go. Fortunately also live, next October in three German cities!
