Feelings that are supposedly not allowed on paper in northern France in the 1980s for various reasons: Clotaire (François Civil) is in love with Jackie (Adèle Exarchopoulos). But he comes from a difficult background and she from a sheltered, upper-class family. However, when Clotaire joins a criminal street gang, something seems to break between them. The nail in the coffin is finally Clotaire's imprisonment - but unjustly and for a crime he never committed. Contact with Jackie breaks off for good. Only years later do the two meet again - and Clotaire has to decide whether to choose love or revenge. (filmstars.de)
