Beats & Business Vol. 3 - Bandcamp

How can independent music work outside of streaming platforms - more fairly, more directly, more sustainably? In the third edition of Beats & Business, we talk to Bandcamp about the opportunities and challenges of alternative distribution channels.

The focus is on the question of how Bandcamp can be used specifically as a platform to publish independently, build reach and strengthen your own community.

We talk about this with Deniz Everling, Label & Artist Representative for Bandcamp in the DACH region, as well as Farhot, producer and founder of the independent label Kabul Fire, Hannes Mussbach, label manager at Kabul Fire and Anton Teichmann, founder & managing director of the Berlin indie label Mansions & Millions. Together we will take a look at the opportunities beyond classic streaming models - from the perspective of the platform as well as from the perspective of independent music creators and label work.
The evening will be moderated by Sabrina Dehati (Music Cities Network, Uebel & Gefährlich).

Following the discussion, we invite you to drinks & beats on the roof terrace of the Superbude Altona Paradise - for an open exchange in a relaxed atmosphere. The music will be provided by none other than the beat connoisseurs of the Kabul Fire Team themselves.
