Born in 1995 in Tbilisi, Georgia, Tamta Magradze began playing the piano at the age of 5 under the guidance of her grandmother - also a musician. She first studied at the Paliashvili Central Music School for Gifted Children, later earning a Bachelor's degree at the Tbilisi State Conservatory, where she studied with Professor Emeritus Edisher Rusishvili, and a Master's degree with highest honors at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music under the direction of Professor Gerlinde Otto. She is currently continuing her studies in Weimar with a postgraduate course to obtain the concert exam diploma.
Tamta Magradze has won more than ten international and national piano competitions for pianists. Her successes in recent years include winning First Prize and the Antonio Baccelli Special Prize at the Livorno Piano Competition in Italy, the Online Audience Prize at the Liszt Utrecht Competition, the Jury Discretionary Prize at the New Orleans Piano Competition and First Prize at the Next Generation International Piano Competition. She is also a finalist and special prize winner of the prestigious Liszt Budapest Competition and a prize winner of the Canada International Piano Competition. She won the prestigious DAAD scholarship and is also a scholarship holder of the Carl Bechstein Foundation, Clavarte, the Theodor Roegler Foundation, the New Liszt Foundation and the Friends and Sponsors.
In the last three years, Tamta Magradze has given solo concerts in more than 25 cities in Europe and has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra, the Georgian Symphony Orchestra, the Thuringia Philharmonic Orchestra, the Georgian Symphony Orchestra, the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra and others.
