Becky in concert

In the organizer's words:

Becky is a drag persona, performance artist and puppeteer of herself. Her first YouTube music videos developed into charming concerts with lots of make-up and minimalist drums. Her songs are intimate insights into a queer Berlin of today with a view of the East German province of yesterday, alternating between deep melancholy and amusing absurdity. With a musical DIY attitude and German and English lyrics that are sometimes poetic, sometimes painfully direct, she creates tender little worlds that resonate. Becky's songs are thoughtfully playful, somewhere between singer-songwriter, chanson and alternative rock.
At the Ost-Passage Theater, Becky will perform songs from her first two releases ("Tossing and Turning" and "Diary of Dreams") as well as new unreleased songs together with drummer Esthy.
