The BBC recently named Becky Sikasa "Scottish Act of the Year" and she is not alone: music lovers and critics draw comparisons to the unagitated magic of Cleo Sol or Olivia Dean, so effortlessly does Becky Sikasa weave harmonies on top of each other, writing touching, vibrating songs. So touching that both her debut EP "Twelve Wooden Boxes" and now her second EP "The Writings and the Pictures and the Song" have been nominated for "Scottish Album of the Year" alongside albums by Paolo Nutini, Joesef and Young Fathers, among others. On it, Becky Sikasa tells of the first big breaks in life, of loss and abandonment, but also of finding. With her current EP "The writings and the pictures and the song", the singer picks up on this world of thoughts and her success and talks about working on love, for the world, for others and for herself
