Four dates in Germany: Experience Been Stellar live

Been Stellar, who have established themselves as one of New York's most exciting new bands in recent years, have announced four dates in Germany in November. The five-piece band's first album "Scream from New York, NY" is an impressively brutal debut that captures an unsparing image of New York in the 2020s. It combines power, drama and beauty and conveys a feeling of overwhelmingness reminiscent of a tidal wave. The album's title suggests that the album addresses the speechlessness that can occur between people and within urban society, and the primal scream that arises when words fail. It's an indie rock debut that presents Been Stellar as astute observers of modern youth, peering through noise and confusion into the dark heart of modern life. Leaving their original shoegaze sound behind, Been Stellar take their cues from the dissonant sounds and rebellious attitude of New York icons such as Sonic Youth and Interpol, as well as the wistful coolness of Iceage and the "Bends" era of Radiohead. Been Stellar was born out of a need, as New York's DIY underground scene had largely disappeared and the existing scenes seemed inaccessible. The band began organizing their own shows and shaping their own creative world. During the pandemic, they worked to find their own sound that was both classic and experimental. After the pandemic, they dove into touring, supporting bands like Fontaines DC and Shame, and developing ideas for their debut album. Back in New York, they worked hard to realize their musical vision and hired British producer Dan Carey to refine their sound. "Scream from New York, NY" reflects the gravity and potential of New York and explores themes of alienation and language failure. Songs like "All In One" and "Passing Judgment" show the band in perfect harmony, while "Pumpkin" and "Sweet" illuminate different emotional facets. All in all, the songs capture the daily harshness and contradictory spirit of New York, which could possibly elevate Been Stellar to the ranks of the important New York bands. Fans in Germany will soon be able to experience this live at one of the four shows.
