Panel discussion

To mark the 300th anniversary of Immanuel Kant's birth, academics and a musician will discuss the influence Kant's radical new way of thinking had on his contemporary Ludwig van Beethoven. Can Kant's philosophical ideas, for example about freedom, be found in Beethoven's music, and did they both influence the development of democracy?
