A tragic accident brings the Deetz family back together again. From all corners of the country, they come together again in Winter River. And as if that wasn't hard enough, Lydia (Winona Ryder) has still not been able to get rid of Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton) and is haunted by him time and again. Her relationship with her daughter Astrid (Jenna Ortega) is also exhausting - as is sometimes the case with teenage girls. But Astrid does more than just cause adolescent unrest when she discovers a mysterious replica of Winter River in the attic of the family home, through which she opens a gateway to the underworld populated by the dead with no ill intent. This causes increasing chaos in both worlds. But no one has yet said Beetlejuice three times in a row. But that seems to be only a matter of time...
