In the year of Gerd Eggers' 80th birthday, his wife Eva, friends and companions come together for a program. Gerd was a poet, songwriter and children's book author. Numerous books bear witness to this. But the best way to honor a poet is to let his verses live.
Michael Höft was a member of the "Jahrgang 49" group and set many of Gerd's poems to music. Frank Viehweg not only worked with Gerd at the poetry seminar in Schwerin, but also performed with him on various stages. In the eighties, Kerstin Hommel carried Gerd's songs in a singing club all the way to Leningrad. Together with Eva Eggers, she has created a cloverleaf in which Gerd and his verses live on.
