A special theater highlight awaits Berlin's culture fans: on November 28, 2025, Ben Becker returns to Berlin Cathedral with his acclaimed production of "Death Duel". An outstanding event - because Lilith Maria Dörte Becker will be appearing on stage alongside her father for the first time. The 24-year-old graduate of the Milan Fashion School, who recently presented her first own collection at Fashion Week in Milan, is celebrating her theater debut with this project. In the play, she embodies the mysterious angel and brings an additional emotional depth to the role.

About the play

"Death Duel" is based on the famous sermon by the poet John Donne from 1631 - a relentlessly honest and at the same time hopeful examination of transience, life and death. Ben Becker brings these last words into the present day with great stage presence and combines powerful words with touching music. Musical accompaniment is provided by cathedral organist Andreas Sieling on the large Sauer organ, accompanied by music specially arranged for the production by Daniel Ott. The finale is Joseph Brodsky's "Great Elegy to John Donne" - a poetic bow to the master of metaphysical poetry.

Following the sold-out premiere in Berlin Cathedral, "Death Duel" is touring Germany and Austria; the new date in Berlin is a special highlight of this great journey.
