Join us for the Berlin Swap Market - May Edition at Boxi 🌞✨

"BERLIN SWAP!" is a swap market series dedicated to reducing waste and over-consumption through community sharing ♻️ It's your chance to find unique gems & give pre-loved items a new home! Based on our past events, people love connecting over the stories behind their items, and many new friendships have blossomed here.

1️⃣ What should I bring?

We encourage you to bring items that are clean, functional, and in good condition. We welcome a wide range of categories:

👗 Clothes | 📚 Books | 👟 Shoes | 🍽 Kitchenware | 🧸 Toys | 📱 Electronics | 🧣 Accessories | 🏋️‍♀️ Sportswear and more!

Please note: We cannot accept food, medicine, or underwear, but party outfits are always a hit!

2️⃣ What can I take?

You don't need to bring something to take something!
Everything on the display tables is free to take✨ We just recommend taking things you really need!

3️⃣ What should I do when I arrive?

You'll find signs for different categories like kitchenware, toys, and electronics when you arrive. Sort your items into the appropriate categories either by yourself or with the help of our awesome volunteers

4️⃣ What else can I do at the event besides swapping?

Boxhagener Platz is an amazing spot for brunch 🍳, coffee ☕, cakes 🍰, and hanging out. Grab your Sunday coffee and enjoy a great time with friends! It's the perfect place to relax on a Sunday afternoon

5️⃣ Can I sell my stuff at the event?

Nope! Everything on display tables is free to take
There's no exchange based on how much or how little you bring. Just bring what you're ready to share, and only take what you really need!

6️⃣ When is the best time to come?

We'll be there right on time, and you're welcome to arrive anytime! That said, we recommend coming by 5:30 PM, especially if you're bringing items to give away-this way, they'll have a better chance of finding new homes, and you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the event.

If you show up early and don't see anything that catches your eye, we suggest sticking around a bit or taking a break by the river and swinging back later-people arrive at different times, and new treasures pop up throughout the day. Feel free to stay as long as you like, sip some coffee, and treat yourself to some cake at the venue.

Absolutely! We love to chat! Come say hi to Joyce (the organizer) if you have any questions or just want to meet new people!

8️⃣ Is the space dog-friendly and baby-friendly?

YES, YES, YES! 🐕 👶

9️⃣ What happens to items left over after the event?

Any items left at the end of the event will be donated to Systemfehler, Wühlisch40, or placed at the entrance of nearby apartment buildings for others to take. You're also welcome to take back any items you brought with you!
