In his novel "Bienenstich", writer and journalist Viktor Funk, who was born in Kazakhstan during the Soviet era, tells of the difficulties of arriving in Germany and the associated identity crises. His novel "Wir verstehen nicht, was passiert" follows the life of a physicist who survived nine years in a Siberian camp . Bernadette Conrad and Michael Bienert talk to the Russia expert about his view of Berlin.

Free admission and registration is possible from August 19, 2025. Donations for the continued existence of the venue are welcome.
The event is organized by the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district office in cooperation with visitBerlin. It is financed by grants for special tourism projects in the districts from the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises.
