Free comedy based on Shakespeare, a firework display of pantomime parodies and clowning!

Lucentio, who is studying in Padua, falls in love with the beautiful, delicate Bianca and wants to marry her. However, her father Baptista Minola wants to marry his eldest daughter Katharina first. But she has hair on her teeth and a mind of her own, so all interested parties shy away from the prickly Katharina. Only the intrepid hotshot Petruchio from Verona is willing to take a chance and tames the unruly girl with a charm offensive.

The excellent multi-mime Bernd Lafrenz is once again the virtuoso quick-change artist who captivates his audience with his subtleties. Like a chameleon, he slips into a tattered wedding dress in the blink of an eye and shocks the wedding party as Petruchio! He changes outfits and grimaces at lightning speed, slips into 10 male and female roles (and even more costumes), marks his characters with tiny gestures, improvises, arranges, animates, digs deep into his bag of tricks and keeps coming up with new tricks...until the furious bullfight with a happy ending.

Lafrenz and Aboualiten tackle Shakespereare's comedy imaginatively and thus profitably, lending this commedia dell arte even more wit, esprit and verve. TO BE THERE OR NOT TO BE THERE ... that is not a question here!
