The grand finale of Bernhard Schimpelsberger's fellowship at the Beethovenfest 2025: this time he performs in a duo with Ukrainian pianist Kateryna Titova, who the press has hailed as a "revolutionary" on the piano. The focus is on Mussorgsky's most famous work: "Pictures at an Exhibition", arranged for piano and percussion by Bernhard Schimpelsberger. With his inexhaustible range of instruments, he adds his own touches of color to this musical picture gallery. In the second half, the duo explores a kaleidoscope of short works from the 20th and 21st centuries, including "Heartbeat", composed to the sound of embryos beating their hearts, and Fazıl Say's imitation of the Turkish folk instrument saz on the piano.
