Bernstein Trio: „Atem(b)raubend“

In the organizer's words:

The Bernstein Trio was founded in 2022 and consists of Roman Tulchynsky (violin), Marei Schibilsky (cello) and Julia Stephan (piano). The musicians made their debut at the Rheingau Music Festival in summer 2023, where they received the HA Hessen Agentur GmbH sponsorship award. At the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University Competition 2025, the trio won 1st prize, the special prize for the commissioned composition and the special prize of the Friends of Young Musicians Germany. At the international Schumann Chamber Music Competition in Frankfurt, it won 1st place and the special prize of the Robert Schumann Society. The Bernstein Trio is keen to experiment and performs unusual programs featuring both classical and avant-garde music. You can hear Give me phoenix wings to fly (1997) by Kelly-Marie Murphy (*1964) as well as piano trios by Cécile Chaminade (1857-19440), Dmitri Shostakovich (1906-1975) and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy (1809-1847).
