Bertram Engel, the drummer who has formed the backbone of the Peter Maffay Band and Udo Lindenberg's Panikorchester for many decades, has written his memoirs. In MIT ALTEN MÄNNERN' SPIEL ICH NICHT he talks about how he has been in the spotlight with the two for almost five decades and shares unique moments on and behind the stage from the eventful life of a rock star. With the same irrepressible energy and openness for which his band colleagues appreciate him, he will bring these anecdotes and experiences live to Germany's most beautiful stages from fall 2024. The stage program is a mixture of excerpts from his book, which he will read himself, the performance of songs that he has written over the years for Maffay, Lindenberg and other greats and which he will play and sing himself on the grand piano. He will be accompanied on this evening journey through German rock 'n' roll history by audiovisual recordings, contemporary witnesses and musicians who will accompany his stories with music and dialog.
