BESCHÄFTIGT EUCH! - Ein TWM-Festival

Hey students! Hey art, culture and theater enthusiasts!

What's on your mind at the moment?

Maybe fears about the future, systematic injustices, job hunting, the next term paper, or the eternal question "And why all this?"...

As a student of an arts or artistic subject, you are often confronted with the question of why you chose this course of study and how you can use it to shape your own professional future.

That's why we students of Theater Studies Munich are launching the BESCHÄFTIGT EUCH! festival:
From 19 to 21 July 2024, we want to negotiate together with you on the TWM studio stage WHAT we - the future of the art scene and art studies - are concerned with thematically and HOW we can occupy ourselves professionally.

Over the three days, there will be a wide variety of lectures, workshops, theater and discussion formats. Our aim is to combine science and artistic practice in order to provide students across universities with guidance for their own scientific and/or artistic careers. We want to offer a platform for reflection on making/looking/studying art and, above all, support active and former students and network them creatively and professionally.

We will publish more details about the program on our Instagram channel @beschaeftigt.euch - feel free to drop by. Participation in the festival program is free of charge*, but due to the limited number of participants, we ask you to register for the individual program items via beschaeftigt.euch@gmail.com. 🧩

On Saturday, July 20 at 8 pm, there will be an open stage in the name of the tried and tested TW series "Ludwig and Art". Students can share their talents and passions with like-minded people in an uninhibited 10-minute timeslot. We welcome any form of performance, be it music, comedy, monologue/scene, improv, dance, poetry, etc... If you would like to conjure up something on our studio stage, alone or in a group, please contact beschaeftigt.euch@gmail.com.

We look forward to stimulating conversations with you over ice-cold refreshments, lots of art, culture and science as well as new acquaintances in the heart of Munich! Time to get busy!

* All program items are free of charge. The theater performance "Von Töchtern und Vätern" (text and direction: Emma Rehumäki) on Friday, July 19 at 8 pm is the only exception: Tickets can be reserved via beschaeftigt.euch@gmail.com and picked up at the Box Office for €5.
