Best of Deep Space Night

In the organizer's words:

Best of Deep Space Night

Take a seat. Reclining seat in position. Lights out - space on! Clear the way for an encounter with astronauts, stars and "spacey" songs. BEST OF DEEP SPACE NIGHT takes you into the depths and shallows of space. Rocket Man and Udonaut take us on a space odyssey...

The 25th anniversary of the moon landing in 1994 marked the beginning of the cult series SPACE NIGHT on Bavarian television - the brainchild of Georg Scheller and Andreas Bönte. To mark the first anniversary, the team at the Munich Planetarium under the direction of Thomas Kraupe created the first "Space Night Planetarium Show". Ten years later, this became the first DEEP SPACE NIGHT in Hamburg, which dived even deeper into space and into worlds of music - two more shows followed. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon mission, we finally have a reunion and rehearsal in a new compilation; BEST OF DEEP SPACE NIGHT is the ultimate edition of our late-night music show. With BEST OF DEEP SPACE NIGHT, we present a "playlist for astronauts" as a rousing ride through worlds of stars and fantasy from 60 years of space travel, with music from the Apollo era and tracks inspired by the Apollo missions. Musically, the palette ranges from Coldplay to Chris Hadfield and Udo Lindenberg. Visually accompanied by star flights, amazing 3D visualizations and bombastic laser effects, you will experience a 360-degree choreography of sound, image and light, which is varied live.

The all-round visual worlds are created with the central star projector and five 4K beamers on the 21-meter star dome. Eight laser projectors, some mounted on robotic arms and supported by 16 moving effect spotlights, fill the space with laser planes and light sculptures. The sound comes from all sides via the ultra-modern 3D spatial sound system with more than 60 loudspeakers.

...three' two, one - ignition: take off into a musical light and space spectacle. Once you've seen it, you'll want to see it again.
