The UK sensation comes to Cologne, Munich and Berlin on her "The Hot & Stupid" tour in May

Almost exactly a year after the sold-out shows of her "IDK How To Talk To Girls EU Tour", UK pop/rock queen Beth McCarthy is coming back to Germany: "Hot & Stupid" is the motto for the upcoming tour, during which the 27-year-old will be stopping off in Cologne, Munich and Berlin. In addition to the biggest hits from her celebrated EPs, including "What Do You Call It?", "She Gets The Flowers" and "Omg Did She Call Him Baby?", she will of course also be performing her latest singles such as "All My Friends Are Hot" and the title track "Hot & Stupid" live in Germany for the first time.

Born in York in the north of England in 1997, Beth McCarthy dedicated herself to the guitar from an early age, took a run at "The Voice" as a teenage girl and then discovered TikTok as a suitable launch pad for her Gen-Z anthems, which were celebrated not only in the LGBTQIA+ community. Since the beginning of the decade, the Brit has gained a huge global fan community with her mix of Y2K pop and rock, blatant pink looks and clear lyrics.

She unabashedly acknowledges influences such as Miley Cyrus, Holly Humberstone, P!nk and Avril Lavigne, doesn't mince her words in the lyrics - and landed a massive hit in 2021 with the single "She Gets The Flowers", which now has over 30 million combined streams. Beth McCarthy also continued her triumphal march with the EP "IDK How To Talk To Girls" , released at the beginning of 2024, as guitar-enhanced real talk anthems such as "She's Pretty" and the title track saw her monthly listener numbers continue to skyrocket.

While the EP in question gradually brought her combined view/stream figures in the triple-digit millions, the last German dates in the early summer of 2024 also sold out immediately. "The tour is over, I'd like to die. Not really, but I'm incredibly sad that it's over," she mourned last summer in the socials about the tour finale, which is why she continued with XL shows in Australia in October - and sold out all the venues there in no time at all. The 27-year-old "bi-cone" is now making the "Hot & Stupid" single released for this year's Valentine's Day (February 14) the motto of her next tour, which starts on May 19 in the queer stronghold of Cologne.
