Between Us

Dance workshop with Laura Beschi and Alessio Scandale

Between Us aims to be a place where dancing together is first and foremost an experience of deep connection based on listening, trust and mutual respect.

This intensive workshop enables the development of awareness, confidence and technical skills through partnering, contact and strengthening exercises as well as mobility and coordination exercises. Improvisation is central to refining listening, intuition and communication, while learning stimulating duets provides fun and practical application. Each interaction values individual uniqueness and encourages the use of feedback as a tool for mutual growth.


Alessio Scandale is an Italian dance artist born in the province of Varese. He graduated from the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD) in Austria in 2016 and since then he has been intensively involved in researching movement and partner dynamics as part of the "BetweenUs" project, which he developed together with Laura Beschi.2018 he moved to Berlin and joined the cie. Toula Limnaios was a permanent member until 2023. He created and staged several works that toured in Germany, Italy, Greece, Finland, Georgia, Jordan, Chile, Canada, Panama and Nicaragua.2024 the collaboration with Sasha Waltz & Guests began.

Laura Beschi is an Italian artist based in Berlin. After studying at the Balletto Teatro di Torino, the Real Conservatorio de Danza Mariemma, she graduated from the SEAD (Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance) in 2017. She has worked with renowned international artists and companies. She was a permanent member of the Berlin company cie. toula limnaios until the end of 2024, creating and presenting numerous works. Her career has taken her to perform throughout Europe, North, Central and South America, the Middle East and Russia. Laura co-founded the partner practice BetweenUS with Alessio Scandale and developed her personal practice Sparkling Bodies, exploring the depth and dynamics of movement.
