Bewegte Zeiten: Das Völkerschlachtdenkmal in historischen Filmaufnahmen

The construction of Europe's largest memorial building was a monumental task, the completion of which culminated in a ceremonial inauguration on the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Nations in 1913. Since 1913, the Leipzig landmark has repeatedly been the site of mass political events as well as a tourist magnet. It was not unusual for a camera to capture the events in moving pictures. As part of an expert classification, we want to watch some film sequences together this afternoon.
