Bex Burch is a composer, percussionist and producer who focuses on space, repetition and aspects of chaos - an approach she describes as "messy minimalism". She runs the label and post-punk band Vula Viel and completed an instrument-making apprenticeship in Ghana, which had a profound impact on her. In her show she will be accompanied by Laurel Pardue // Composer Sophia Jani and violinist Teresa Allgaier present their new album Six Pieces for Solo Violin (Squama Recordings). Jani's compositions weave a web of gentle consonance for the violin that challenges the notion of simplicity.
