Beyond Beauty | Düren Tanzt

What is beautiful?

The community dance project "Düren tanzt" addresses this question in: "Beyond Beauty" to this question and sheds light on the pressure that women and men are under to conform to the idealized image of beauty.

"Beyond Beauty" invites people to reflect on their own idea of beauty and to examine their own place and options for action in society.

Within 60 minutes, around 40 amateur dancers from different generations will show how together they can create a boundary-breaking, captivating and unifying force in which everyone's uniqueness is a valuable part of the community.

"Düren tanzt" is aimed specifically at non-professionals who can experience and shape cultural participation. The phrase: "Everyone is a dancer" becomes reality here.
