BEYOND LABELS is a photographic and cinematic exploration of identity beyond binary categories. The focus is on women* with a masculine appearance who cannot be reduced to terms such as "woman", "male", "butch" or "non-binary" - but want to be seen in their entire identity, personality and life experience. The exhibition shows personal portraits and stories that tell of everyday discrimination, misgendering, strength and self-determination.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a supporting program of talks, encounters and exchanges.
The vernissage on July 14 at 7 p.m. offers space for a first insight into the project and a chance to get to know the initiators Chris Selle and Katrin Chodor. Accompanied by electronic sounds.
