Music from Brazil inspires people all over the world and has a permanent place at the Kultursommer festival. Bixiga 70, Chico Cesar, Flavia Coelho, Trio Mocoto - they were all there! We had already tried for the incredible Bia Ferreira in previous years, and now the timing is finally right.

She is a star in her home country. She raps like no other and likes to tackle topics such as feminism, racism and homophobia to grooves ranging from Afrobeat to samba. With the song Cota Não É Esmola, the singer, composer, artist & multi-instrumentalist reached an audience of millions on YouTube, played countless shows in the USA, Canada & Europe just 24/25, touched the fans of our summer partner festivals of Kulturzelt Kassel & Kulturarena Jena in her intimate concerts with an incomparable aura.

Bia Ferreira is against all forms of violence, sings intensely and powerfully for love. For equality. For togetherness without hate. She always sees herself as an instrument of music - this wonderful art that she loves so much.
