The duo of Johanna Summer and Jakob Manz is a stroke of luck in German jazz: two of its outstanding young characters, virtuosic, courageous, with broad horizons and an unmistakable musical signature come together here.

Much of their music magically happens in unison, even though it could not have been foreseen a moment before. The special magic of this dialog is transferred to the listener. One marvels at the simultaneity of freedom and clarity, at the way in which two very different characters complement each other and at the same time interact cautiously and confidently.

After their acclaimed performance in early 2024, the two Snarky Puppy founders return to Berlin to present their new album Keeping Company.

The joint duo of Bill Laurance and Michael League is the antithesis of Snarky's large-scale format. It's all about the inside view, with Laurance on piano and League on fretless bass guitar and oud. They do without a band, which gives them musical freedom. The focus is on the pure and organic.
