The BIPoC Media Meet-up offers you a space for exchange and networking within the BIPoC media community. Come to the cozy premises of the Media Lab Bayern, meet like-minded people and network with other media professionals, creators and founders from Munich and beyond.

We are delighted to offer you a themed media talk this time, in which the hype topic par excellence is on the agenda: artificial intelligence.

✨Highlight: Input talk by Habiba Sarhan (in English)

Habiba Sarhan is a researcher and consultant for Responsible AI and advocates for ethical and inclusive AI systems. In her talk "Beyond Algorithms: How can we create a voice for the voiceless?" she gives insights into how AI can represent - or make invisible - marginalized groups and why a responsible use of technology is crucial.

Habiba Sarhan researches ethical and inclusive AI at the TUM School of Computation, Information, and Technology, focusing on the risks of image captions erasing marginalized groups. As a Responsible AI Consultant at Accenture DACH, she advocates for fair technology and inclusive AI systems that amplify diverse voices.

Startup Founders, media professionals and all visionaries* from the media industry who identify as BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) are invited. For the event, we want to be inclusive and therefore encourage all people with international histories and experiences of racism to be part of it.
