Bloodflowers & Neumatic Parlo

Bloodflowers
Out of the body, into the world of thoughts - it's getting psychedelic at Schleuse Zwei! Hovering between dream and reality, Bloodflowers create a hypnotic cosmos of sound in which catchy melodies merge with spherical guitar riffs and experimental sounds.

In the style of psychedelic rock, the music wafts through emotional, sonic worlds before finding its way back to themes such as connection, spirituality and love for people and the little things in life.

Bloodflowers create intense live experiences that quickly gained attention; and their debut album "NEBULA", released in December 2023 - a physical journey through the mind - also generated a positive response. For example, the release led to a nomination for the popNRW Prize 2023 as best newcomer band. All the more reason to invite the band to perform at the Bilker Bunker music bar!

"If David Lynch were to shoot more Twin Peaks episodes, this would be the inspiration for the music." Visions

Nadia Wardi (vocals/guitar), Tristan Müller (guitar), Yanco Przyborowski (bass) & Matthias Köhnen (drums)

Neumatic Parlo
It's getting very British, indeed! If they weren't from Düsseldorf, we'd place Neumatic Parlo directly in the UK - somewhere in the 90s guitar sound, pogoing between UK greats of the recent past such as Shame, Squid or Dry Cleaning. Their sound is urgent, imaginative and completely un-German.

Inspired by Joan Didion's novel of the same name, Neumatic Parlo tell of lonely masses, aimless ambition and despair in the big city on their debut album play it as it lays. They bring Didion's urban fear of the future from days gone by into the present, making it audible and tangible.

Between concrete towers of guitars, a shower of distortion raining down on us, energetic riffs and an echo chamber of feedback loops, an astutely beautiful lyricism repeatedly makes its way, giving expression to the world-weariness of disappointed urban romantics.

Vincent Göttler (vocals, guitar), Luis Wedekind (keys), Justin Janßen (drums), Jasper van den Hövel (bass) & Simon Hartmann (guitar)
