On this evening, Gabriele Weller & Jasmin Abed whisk the audience away to the era of Romanticism. Selected poems and texts as well as pieces of music from the "Blue Flower" era come to life and immerse the audience in the world of dreams, longing, transcendence and the search for knowledge. Romanticism questioned the ideals of classicism and the Enlightenment; the inner life of people, feelings, immediate sensations and a longing for the beyond defined the spirit of the age. Important poets included von Eichendorff, Novalis, von Chamisso, von Armin and Heine.
