With their works, the three artists of the evening operate in the field of auditory topology, a sound art practice that deals with spatial structures, technological processes and unpredictable sound developments. Thomas Breuer, also known as Vactrolog, creates a sonic ecosystem that, despite precise control, always goes its own way. Noémi Büchi creates and explores the potential of cross-genre musical structures. Her music is characterized by a delicate synthesis of texture-rich rhythms and electro-acoustic-orchestral abstraction. She contrasts rhythmic physicality with disturbances and playfully emphasizes irregularities, creating an expansive listening experience characterized by richness of detail and elevation. Amsterdam-based Fedde ten Berge develops his own instruments and sound installations, which he uses to create hyper-complex soundscapes via his Pentacle 15.3 Surround Sound System.
