Having been on stage for over 40 years, with every member of the ensemble a proven top musician, it would be easy to label the group BLECHSCHADEN as "tried and tested and never equaled". But that is only one side of the brass (wind) medal; the other, for which they are loved by their loyal fan base, is their tireless commitment to bringing out the fun side of the music and, in doing so, taking any attempt to distinguish between light and serious music to the point of absurdity.

With each of their performances, the world-famous "fun faction" of the Munich Philharmonic shows that any kind of music, whether pop or opera, musical or classical symphony, can be fun if it is presented in the right, unconventional way. In the new program for their 2026 tour, the Philharmoniker's "foreign legionnaires" mix the various musical genres into a highly entertaining cocktail of melodies, garnished with hilarious moderations and interludes.
