BLECHSCHLOSSNÄCHTE 2025: qrauer & Tape Shifter

In the organizer's words:

The two Dresden drummers Christian Grochau (Woods of Birnam, Polarkreis18) and Demian Kappenstein (ÄTNA, Masaa) produce electronic music as solo artists.

Tape shifter Demian plays danceable beats with everything that old and new tapes have to offer: He sorts meditation instructions, bird noises, jazz solos and other surprises into a hypnotic, physical flow.

As a qrauer, Christian creates complex music with melancholic depth. His debut album Odd Fazes was praised by DJ Mag and Faze Mag as "an impressive debut" and featured by BBC6 Music, Deutschlandfunk and Apple's New in Electronic Playlist. qrauer has already worked with composer and cellist Anne Müller (Erased Tapes) and remixed artists such as Martin Kohlstedt and ÄTNA.

Their joint debut EP "Herzblatt" was released on June 22.
