2025 is the year in which Blind Butcher finally go up in flames - true to their own motto: "We don't leave this place till it is on fire." With "Hekate", their fifth studio album (release date: September 2025, Voodoo Rhythm Records), the two Lucerne natives ignite another explosive chapter in their musical madness.

For 15 years, Christian Aregger (vocals, guitar, synthesizer) and Roland Bucher (drums, bass pedals, vocals) have been touring the clubs, theaters and festivals of Europe as Blind Butcher - with over 600 shows under their belts and a sound that defies categorization: a radically danceable mix of rock, disco, punk, new wave, electronics and a good dose of trash.

Blind Butcher are more than just music - they are a performance, an art figure, an energetic state of emergency. Shrill outfits and a presence that oscillates between punk concert, science fiction revue and absurd theatricality.

Since their debut album "Albino" (2013, Subversiv Records), which was recorded by Steve Albini in Chicago, Blind Butcher have consistently created their very own cosmos. With "Alawalawa" (2017, Voodoo Rhythm) and hits such as "Staubsaugerbaby" and "Hexentanzen", they conquered
the European stages. "Piss Me A Rainbow" (2019, Irascible Records) proved that even topics
like neurodermatitis or eyebrows work on the dance floor - as long as they come from Blind Butcher. And their fourth album "Catch 22" was released in 2022 in 12 parts: a new song every month - another sign of their creative restlessness.

In addition to the band project, Blind Butcher also created music for theater and film productions. In 2025, they were awarded the Central Switzerland Film Prize for the soundtrack to the short film "The Car That Came Back From The Sea".

With "Hekate", their uncompromising sound aesthetic now reaches a new peak: super disco-trash-kraut - wild, playful, dark, ecstatic. It's an album like a ritual. An incantation. A party on the edge.
