A woman is imprisoned as a political prisoner of the mullah regime and her husband is allowed to visit her once a week. But what do you talk about when every word is listened to and there is little news to report? The two have run marathons together, but now their relationship is in danger of running out of steam. Only hesitantly and at his wife's insistence does the man take on a new task: He becomes a running companion for a blind runner and makes her lifelong dream come true by taking part in the Paris Marathon. The intimacy of the training leads to a close bond with the young woman - and a dangerous plan to escape to another life and make a political statement: They want to reach Great Britain by crossing the 38-kilometer Eurostar tunnel to England overnight. But there are only a few hours between the last train in the evening and the first one the following day that would catch them...The fate of three long-distance runners is woven into a poetic stage thriller in this acclaimed production, with great protagonists, minimalist sets and strong film sequences.
