Herbal Electronics: Nicola Cruz, the Ecuador-based DJ, producer, and live musician, channels South America's rich musical heritage for an exciting and explorative approach to techno.

Digging into his musical oeuvre, it comes as no surprise that this inspired creative initially started out as a percussionist. His deep interest in rhythm led him to electronic dance music. Originally born in France to a South American family, Cruz has carefully studied his family's continent's musical traditions and skillfully translates his findings and inspirations into mind-boggling electronic music. He has mastered both short and long forms of music, each with their
own unique possibilities, and this mastery extends to his DJ mixes as well. Nicola Cruz takes us on a trip from global grooves and dubby textures, to glistening or hard-edged sounds, to outre techno and deep house, channeling his extensive influences and attaching his unique, lush, and vivid signature to every mix he creates. The local and global, past and present, organic and stylized meet in Nicola Cruz's unique musical approach that fuses the urban metropolitan and traditional indigenous dance rituals for utterly stunning results. Essential dancing, quite simply!

Rounding out the night with more inspired approaches are the Mexican duo Zombies in Miami and 600-Cell. The latter, a resident at Blitz, is a master at adapting to different sounds and settings, shining with a profound understanding of a wide range of genres and an insatiable curiosity for thrilling finds in seemingly any given genre's back catalog.
Equipped with a fine understanding of music's and the dance floor's dynamics, 600-Cell is a soothing selector and a must-see time after time.
Zombies in Miami have earned their stars with synth-driven, disco, and Balearic-indebted passionate house and techno.
They have appeared on labels such as Running Back, Correspondant, Live At Robert Johnson, Permanent Vacation, and many more. They've turned night into day more than once at Blitz Club already, and we're happy to have this tasteful duo back in our booth for July!
