Most recently our guests as special guests of The Baboon Show, Blood Command from Bergen in Norway are now returning to us on a headlining tour to play their hardcore punk with pop appeal (they themselves call their style "deathpop"). The band was founded in 2008, but initially as a fun project: guitarist Yngve Andersen and drummer Sigurd Haakaas from Jeroan Drive wanted to mix different types of music and distilled the name of their new band from their fondness for wacky action films from the 80s such as Bloodsport or Phantom Commando. Together with singer Silje Tombre, they finally recorded their first EP "Five Inches of a Car Accident" and played their first concerts. Fast forward... Several albums and line-up changes later, Blood Command have matured into a veritable band. Their most recent work is "World Domination", released in 2023, from which the title of this year's Three Stripes tour is also taken. Their recently released new single "All I Ever Hate About Is You" has already sparked anticipation for more - and makes it clear where the journey is heading: "uncompromisingly forward", to quote the blurb.
