1932: Twin brothers Elijah and Elias Smoke want to start over on familiar ground. So they leave their previous life in Chicago's underworld behind and return to their old hometown of Clarksdale, Mississippi, to open a bar. But it seems that anything but a quiet life awaits the twins there: Not only the Ku Klux Klan, but apparently also vampires have made themselves at home there. So who can the brothers trust? And what are Mary and Remmick up to? For those without sharp teeth, the situation is becoming increasingly precarious. So something has to be done to get rid of the bloodsuckers.
