Virial

Style: Technical Death Metal | Home: Tyrol/South Tyrol

VIRIAL was founded in 2010 by the brothers Christian and Thomas Wieser. After the release of the first album entitled "Organic Universe" (2015), which was produced in collaboration with two session musicians, Stefan Rojas and Philip Dollinger joined the band. This constellation enabled live shows as well as the recording and release of the current album "Transhumanism" (2021) by the Australian record label Vicious Instinct Records.

Early 2000s technical death metal sound, high quality recorded and mixed. The songs on the current album include parts with piano, classical guitars, western guitars and atmospheric synths as well as death metal-typical drumming techniques and hard electric guitar riffs. The lyrics are about events in the macrocosm, reality paired with science fiction. VIRIAL is part of the term "virial theorem", which is used in astrophysics and celestial mechanics. Norgaahl

The most gruesome stories and tales have been told from the dregs of beer mugs. NORGAAHL blows the old Raunacht stories at you in a new sound and takes you into a thunderstorm of death, black and thrash metal.

Grounded bass lines and fat double bass form the foundation for a thicket of guitar runs and riffs, over which the singer's deep growls rage. NORGAAHL skillfully combine melodies with brutality. They have been bringing their music to the metal audience since 2016 and are also striving for musical world domination.

The messages of the old legends and fairy tales are the fear of darkness. In the dispute with Gevatter Tod it is sometimes melancholic, but never squeamish. (Source: band info)
