BLOODSUCKING ZOMBIES FROM OUTER SPACE (Punk, Horrorbilly, Shock Rock)

Bloodsucking Zombies from Outer Space - a self-explanatory name to which not much more needs to be added. At least to everything that inevitably takes place before your inner eye. Zombies, massacres, apocalypse, so to speak, that much is clear.

However, the idea of a zombiesque horror show does not even come close to paying tribute to its four protagonists: Dead "Richy" Gein (dr, voc), Mr. "Jim" Evilize (guit), Dejan Decay (bass) and Reverend "Bloodbath" (guit, keys) are not grotesquely made-up puppets, but rather a sophisticated stage quartet that has a lot to offer for both the eye and the ear. Accordingly, it is difficult to classically categorize them into a specific genre, as there are so many of them. To put it in a nutshell, it's simply horror billy - very few musicians can claim to have established a new musical genre. The conceptual stage show, the perfect musical interplay and the fun of it are probably responsible for the fact that this not quite earthly troupe has been ensuring an ever-growing fan base, sold-out shows and the associated success for over 15 years. This was also rewarded in 2015 with an Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the "Hard & Heavy" category.

Categorization, on the other hand, is not exactly easy with Bloodsucking Zombies from Outer Space. Although all of their now 8 albums and 6 EPs reflect the basic tone of morbidity wrapped in a shell of splatter humor, the musical diversity cannot be denied. The balancing act between pogo dancing to "Monster Mutant Boogie" and singing about "your mother's head" in Viennese dialect is a huge and daring one. The beauty of it: it worked and still works! Not only in this country, but across the stages of the European continent. Whether in Finland or Germany - the masses were under the zombie spell within a very short time. Along the way, in 2011 they decided to found their own label, Schlitzer-Pepi Records, on which "Mörder Blues 2 - Die Rückkehr Der Pompfüneberer" was released in 2015, marking their first entry into the Austrian album charts. The Bloodsucking Zombies from Outer Space have been up to mischief for more than 15 years now, presenting their sophisticated horrorilly sound to the ears of the world in sold-out venues. The musical zombie apocalypse has long since begun and the only thing you really need to be afraid of is falling under its spell.
