The Concept: When a woman or girl gets sexually abused, they get physically injured which is visible and identifiable. But this incident is beyond the physical injury. As an aftermath of the sexual abuse, they go through post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). PTSD is a psychiatric disorder that may occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event like rape, sexual violence or a serious accident etc. Because of PTSD, people see vivid flashbacks, nightmares, and physical sensations such as pain, sweating, and nausea. This exhibition will showcase alternative prints of fabrics and audio installation of interviews. The sounds that have been used that represent the different stages of emotional state that a survivor of sexual assault goes through after encountering assault, like fear, shame, insecurity, anger, sadness, disgust, anxiety, doubt, hatred, guilt, loneliness, shock, during the PTSD.

[The stories are about trauma, people who experienced sexual violence in their lifetime. People participated to share their stories that they never shared before].
