Blüthner Meisterkonzert: Johannes Obermeier

Johannes Obermeier (*1998) is a young artist with many talents. He received piano lessons from the age of five, began learning the saxophone at the age of eight and the trumpet three years later.

Johannes Obermeier has won prizes at numerous national and international competitions. He is the winner of the 2016 Pegalogos Prize, the 2022 Günter Bialas Prize of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts, 2nd prize winner of the 2022 Steinway Prize, 1st prize winner of the 2022 Kulturkreis Gasteig competition and a recipient of the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship. He recently won 3rd prize in the international ARD competition in the piano category.

He has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Chamber Orchestra and the Munich Radio Orchestra.

At the Blüthner Master Concert in the White House, Johannes Obermeier will perform works by Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Franz Schubert, Chopin and others.
