Welcome to Bobby's Place, the new split-personality album from longtime musical troublemaker and cultural provocateur Bobby Conn!

Bobby Conn is a singer, songwriter and performance artist from Chicago. He emerged from the Chicago "no-wave" scene of the mid-90s - a mix of noise art and performance - but quickly developed a reputation for exuberant, excessive performances, satirical political lyrics and experimental electro-glam art rock.
Side A shows Bobby in a tent somewhere on the astral plane, surrounded by synthesizers, woodwind instruments, hand drums and a pulsating psychedelic fog. Planet Earth and the real world are only faintly recognizable in the distance.
Side One, on the other hand, features Bobby as the lead character in an alternative workplace sitcom - also titled Bobby's Place. In each episode, Bobby sets up a new small business, such as a restaurant or a nail salon, together with a team of puppets. But the business inevitably fails and ends in bankruptcy - even before the end of the episode. But that doesn't stop Bobby, and the six tightly arranged glam rock pieces on side one are proof of that.
Essentially, each side exists as a standalone concept - which one should you listen to first? There's no right answer: both are the perfect introduction to Bobby's Place.
