BOHEI Festival 2025 – Außer Kontrolle!

In the organizer's words:

The BOHEI Festival is the artistic home of the COMEDIA Collective - the theater, performance and dance youth clubs at the theater. Over 100 young people between the ages of 6 and 27 show their work here and make the diversity of artistic forms of expression visible.

In 2025, the festival's motto is "Out of Control". It is dedicated to the question of what happens when structures are broken down, rules are questioned and artistic and social spaces are renegotiated. Who decides on art? Who sets the framework and what happens when these boundaries are transgressed? In addition to the performances by the collectives, COMEDIA will become a field of experimentation for artistic freedom: with interactive formats, parties, workshops, panels and discussions on the art of co-determination.

During the BOHEI period, COMEDIA becomes a place for participatory art by, with and for young people.

Every year, the festival continues to grow and try out new forms of artistic exchange. The future of the BOHEI Festival is open, dynamic and perhaps a little out of control.

With 32 different offers, there is something for everyone at BOHEI. The nine collectives show their self-developed pieces and the festival invites you to workshops ranging from voguing, songwriting and creative writing to turn the tables, yoga in the park, a Kiki Ball, the creative market, parties and the open stage.
